Fashion’s Night Out Sparks Fashion Fever

Vogue collaborated with retailers all over the world in a “global initiative to promote retail, restore consumer confidence, and celebrate fashion”.

The Fashion’s Night Out initiative, tripled the number of parties taking place this year. Over 700 retailers hosted in-store parties to invite consumers in and celebrate the start of the week long celebration of all things fashion.

Last night, I found myself in pure fashion heaven as I walked down 5th avenue and fashion hopped from store to store. It was seriously like treat-or-treating for fashion goodies.

The Dior store on 57th street was a site of pure chaos as photogs, fans, and guest stretched their necks and bodies to get inside the store and get an in person glimpse of Charlize Theron. It was only appropriate that the blonde cause so much excitement this Fashion Week…I mean, she is only on the cover of Vogue Magazine.

I had the most fun at Versace. There I ran into Ciara, Jade from America’s next top model, and other beautiful people. I didn’t realized how thin Ciara has gotten until seeing her in person. The last time I saw her was about 2 years ago while working a VH1 red carpet. In my opinion she is looking her best these days. Much more classy and grown up in comparison to her more sporty look when she first hit the scene.

I am a huge fan of the Fashion’s Night Out initiative. I can definitely see this being an annual event. It invited the everyday person to take part in the fashion week festivities. Fashion is all about the consumer and I am happy to see that Vogue is encouraging retailers to refocus their attention to those that will keep their businesses afloat.

First Annual Ferrari Hamptons Rally

This Labor Day weekend is jam packed with parties and all types of gatherings. The Hamptons is especially looking like the place to be. Tonight, Social Life Magazine is celebrating their september issue release with a party at Georgica Restaurant and Lounge, 108 Wainscott Stone Road, East Hampton. Real Housewife of New York City, Bethany Frankel is gracing the cover of the monthly issue looking fab if I say so myself.

Tomorrow afternoon, The Hamptons will be filled with Ferrari’s as the First Annual Ferrari Hampton Rally is scheduled to take over. The luxurious event will include beautiful people, crazy cars, and cocktails. Georgica Restaurant and Lounge will also be hosting this event with 5pm cocktails.

Schedule of Events
• 10 a.m to 11 a.m. – Participating Ferraris arrive.
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Ferrari owners and their families, as well as friends and invited guests enjoy brunch and drinks.
• 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Ferraris tour pre-set Hamptons scenic route, through East Hampton, Amagansett, Sag Harbor, and Southampton.
• 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Ferraris return for Official Rally Finish Party. Invited guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

Hamptons Magazine Celebrates Father’s Day

I spent Father’s Day with my mom and dad at a Spanish restuarant eating Paella and sipping on Pina Coladas, but Hamptons Magazine’s Cristina Cuomo and Debra Halpert had plans of continuing the “poppas of the world day celebration” to Monday night. The ladies hosted a Father’s Day party Monday evening in commemoration of the magazine’s Father’s Day issue at The Gates, located at 290 eighth Ave. Hooray to Hamptons Magazine for throwing great parties and a final toast goes out to all the daddies of the world!!!

Janelle Monae Will Help Celebrate Opening of Private Park at The Hudson Hotel

Diddy’s artist Janelle Monae will be helping The Hudson Hotel celebrate the opening of Private Park Tuesday night 5/12. Private Park is The Hudson’s newest chill spot, and The Hudson has teamed up with Charity Water and Giant Step to bring on the festivities.

Janelle Monae and her unique style is becoming a familiar artist in the media circle as she prepares to debut her album Metropolis.

The event taking place tomorrow will be raising funds for the construction of a safe water well. 100% of the proceeds will go to the previously mention cause as a $20 suggested donation is associated with the RSVP only event.

Us Weekly, one of the top celebrity and lifestyle magazines in weekly circulation held a “Red Carpet Ready” event at the New York Health and Racquet Club. The event is one of the magazine’s signature initiatives, where the aim is to connect readers and fans to the celebrity culture they read about. As “red carpet season” quickly approaches and our favorite celebrities tone-and-tighten to fit into their red carpet get-ups, Us Weekly readers were given the opportunity to work out with Brooke Siler, trainer-to-the-stars. Prior to the Pilates workout session with Brooke Siler, light bites were served along with small servings of energy drinks. The event was pretty cute . I definitely like the idea of “getting fit and fab” with a “red carpet ready” mentality!!!

GQ hosts Ray-Ban Shades of Style at Bloomingdales

So, Ray Ban has a new set of cool sunglasses which come in various new shades. Last week they held a mixer at the Bloomingdales in SOHO where the new shades were displayed and made available for trying on… I of course went straight for the pink shades .

According to reps at Ray-Ban, the wayfarer is known to be one of the most enduring and iconic styles of the 20th century. They are not only the best selling sunglasses in world, but they also blend hi-tech design, lenses, and materials in innovatiove, fun, and now colorful styles!!

G-Shock presented Complex Magazine’s third annual Premium Goods Event Wednesday at the Marc Ecko Showroom. Let’s just say this event was a bit ghetto fab. The huge showroom was filled with NYC’s young urban socialites drinking free patron,  and listening to the beats of dj D-Nice.

Surrounding the room were showcases by G-shock, Akademiks, New Balance, Harley Davidson, and Fila.

Celebrity guests included Dawn from Danity Kane, Day26, Miguel Perdomo and New York Knicks Player Stephon Marbury.

Beyonce Flaunts $3,000 Chanel Earrings at Gotham Magazine Gala

Beyonce arrived at the annual Gotham Magazine Gala looking simply amazing. She sported a body hugging long black dress with breath taking Chanel earrings. The earrings definitely added the extra Beyonce glamour statement to the outfit.

As Beyonce walked through the crowd surrounded by approximately four security guards I couldn’t help but wonder how she managed to keep a smile on her face in the midst of all the chaos. She is definitely someone that I admire in regard to class and grace. Love ya B!
