Equinox Studio Classes

Since the beginning of the new year, I have been on a workout frenzy! The holidays are now over, and warm weather is right around the corner, so it is now time to get into shape. I joined Equinox last summer and was doing a good job of going to the gym regularly until the 2008 holiday season. That’s all old news thouogh, I am focused now lol. I am what I like to a call a “woman on a mission” .

My favorite thing about Equinox, other then the cleanliness and their great employees, are the cardio classes! Yes, I know almost every gym offers cardio classes, but Equinox’s classes are the absolute best! A good workout, in my eyes, is not accomplished without a massive sweat. That sounds gross…. but it’s true.

My favorite cardio classes are: “Intensati workout” by Partricia Moreno (she is the best!) on Mondays, “Cardio Sculpt” with Gerard Calvo on Thursdays and “Body Scult” with James Ervin on Sundays.

Elizabeth Arden’s Red Door Spa

I started the new year with a trip to the spa! Nothing is better than treating yourself to a spa treatment other then therapuetic shopping of course . Anyhow, I lugged myself to the Red Door Spa on 5th ave and 54th, which I love visiting, especially during the holiday season. It just makes me feel all fuzzy and such (I’m weird).

One thing that I really love about The Red Door is the personal attention you get from whoever is treating you. My manicurists, Julia, is the BEST! I think she might have spent 2 hours doing just my mani-pedi. Anyhow, it had been soo long since I had been to the spa, and boy did I need it! This year, my motto will be Total Health: in mind, body, and spirit, and my spa trip was just the beginning. http://www.reddoorspas.com/
