Marc Ecko and MarcoArt Celebrate 25 Years of Run DMC

Marc Ecko hosted Peter Marco and his vibrant Pop-art pieces in a celebration of 25 years of Run DMC. The event took place this last Thursday at The Ecko Showroom. Marco, whom I was able to chat with for a bit, expressed to me that he has been a HUGE fan of Run DMC for years. As a fan it was an honorable pleasure for him to throw an event which celebrated a quarter century of the historic and iconic group’s longevity.

Marco’s amazing art pieces surrounded the showroom as they were auctioned off in a silent auction. A table was also set up where smaller pieces were sold like wild-fire. I bought a small piece which he graciously signed for me while we talked. He was extremely friendly and took the time to talk to all his guests. Part of the night’s proceeds were donated to charity.

In attendance was Marc Ecko, DMC (Rev Run was a no-show), and The Retro Kidz.

Beyonce Flaunts $3,000 Chanel Earrings at Gotham Magazine Gala

Beyonce arrived at the annual Gotham Magazine Gala looking simply amazing. She sported a body hugging long black dress with breath taking Chanel earrings. The earrings definitely added the extra Beyonce glamour statement to the outfit.

As Beyonce walked through the crowd surrounded by approximately four security guards I couldn’t help but wonder how she managed to keep a smile on her face in the midst of all the chaos. She is definitely someone that I admire in regard to class and grace. Love ya B!
